This policy explains how Coaching with Miri collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit coachingwithmiri.com, fill out a form, or work with me as a coaching client.

Who I am

Coaching with Miri is run by Miri Jedeikin, based in Los Angeles, California, USA. I am responsible for your personal information. You can reach me at miri@coachingwithmiri.com.

What I collect

Information you give me. When you use a form on this site or email me, I collect what you choose to share, such as your name, email, phone number, location and time zone, and your answers to my questions. The intake form asks about your goals, relationships, living situation, work, and, if you choose to share them, your beliefs and aspects of your health and wellbeing. Files you upload, such as signed forms, are collected too.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site, which is hosted by Squarespace, collects basic technical information such as your browser, device, approximate location based on your IP address, and the pages you visit, using cookies and similar tools. You can choose which non-essential cookies to allow in the cookie banner.

How I use it

I use your information to respond to your inquiries, decide together whether coaching is a good fit, provide coaching, schedule sessions, send invoices, keep the business records I am required to keep, and keep this website working. I do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it for any purpose unrelated to our work.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, I rely on these legal bases: taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, and performing our coaching agreement; your explicit consent for information about your health, beliefs, or similar sensitive topics; my legal obligations; and my legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Who I share it with

I use a small number of trusted service providers that process information on my behalf: Squarespace (website hosting and forms), Google Workspace (email and storage), and my payment processor. I may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety, as described in my coaching agreement. I never share your intake answers with anyone else without your permission.

Where it is stored

Your information is stored in the United States. If you are outside the US, your information is transferred to the US, and my service providers use recognized safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.

How long I keep it

I keep inquiry messages for up to one year if we don't work together. For clients, I keep intake answers, signed agreements, and session notes for as long as we work together and for up to seven years afterward, then delete them securely, unless the law requires me to keep them longer.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. You can withdraw your consent at any time, which won't affect anything done before you withdrew it. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also object to or restrict how I use your information, and you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have similar rights under California law. To make a request, email me and I will respond within 30 days.

Keeping it safe

I use secure, password-protected accounts, and I limit access to your information to myself. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please don't email sensitive details you'd rather discuss in a session.

Adults only

My coaching and this website are for adults aged 18 and over. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If I update this policy, I will post the new version here with a new effective date.
